Terms and Conditions

Hello and thanks for shopping with Julie Williamson Designs. Here's everything you need to know about ordering, shipping, and returns. If something isn't covered here, just get in touch.

A note on handmade products
Most products are handmade by me, so there may be slight variations in appearance as print runs vary. That's part of what makes them individual to you.

Ordering & Payment

I accept payments via PayPal, Stripe, Klarna, and Clearpay, as well as all major credit and debit cards. All transactions are secure.

Dispatch & Delivery

In-stock items are dispatched every Monday and Thursday. If you need something by a specific date, contact me before ordering and I'll do my best to help.

Made-to-order items (all lampshades) are made specifically for you once your order is placed. I'll be in touch when your item is ready to ship. Please allow up to 4-6 weeks.

Please note: made-to-order items cannot be cancelled once production has begun (see Cancellations below).

UK delivery is free, sent via Royal Mail.

International orders: select worldwide shipping at checkout. Free international delivery on orders over £150. Please be aware that import taxes are the responsibility of the buyer — I have no control over these charges.

We're based on Whalsay, an island off the Shetland mainland, so please allow a little extra time for delivery.

Returns & Refunds

I want you to be happy with your order. If something isn't right, please get in touch within 14 days of receiving it.

You have the right to return most items within 14 days of notifying me, provided they're returned in original condition and packaging within a further 14 days.
Return postage is your responsibility! please get proof of postage.

Sale and discounted items are non-refundable.

Damaged items: if your order arrives damaged, I need photos of the outer packaging unopened, and then again opened showing the damaged item. This is required for me to make a postal insurance claim. Please contact me immediately! without these photos I'm unable to process a claim.

Cancellations

In-stock items can be cancelled within 14 days of purchase.

Made-to-order items are excluded from standard cancellation rights because they are made specifically for you and cannot be resold. This will be clearly noted on the product page before you purchase, in line with your rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. If you need to cancel a made-to-order item before production has begun, please contact me as soon as possible and I'll see what I can do.

Privacy

I don't retain any credit card details — all payments are handled securely by PayPal and Stripe.

I do keep your email address when you place an order, to send order updates. I'll never pass your details to third parties. You can opt in to my newsletter for new releases and first dibs on new designs, and you can opt out any time.
