Tirricks Diving At Da Hoab - Velvet Cushion

The original design where the banks collection all stemmed from, this coastal themed hand illustrated design features me and my dad having a coastal walk (read story below)

Digitally printed onto velvet and plain black velvet on the back, invisible zip and option feather cushion pad. 

All cushions are hand made by myself here in the Shetland Islands

Design Inspiration:

Inspiration for this design came one night when my daughter asked me to tell her a bed time story, earlier dat day we had been doon at da hoab(exposed seabed) which is one of my favourite places in whalsay, I told her about how her auld Da (my dad) used to take me there for walks when I was peerie but in da simmer we had to avoid the tirricks(artic tern) nesting as they love to dive bomb your head so Da used to take wild flooers usually dockens or hogweed and waved it above his head for da diving tirricks to attack instead of trying to peck da tap of his head.
